It's July 30, 2:30am right now and I'm just starting to write my post for today. I know it's better that I go back to sleep because I need the energy to last a busy Sunday with my husband and very active, almost-toddler daughter. But I am pretty obsessed about keeping my word; and I said last month that I will be posting every 10th, 20th and 30th of the month.

Luckily I still have one last cooking video that I made last May. I've been saving it up for times when I need some cover ups. Just like...

I've told you before about my unhealthy start as a vegetarian ( check that blog here ). Well, yeah, as a vegemeatarian, thanks for the correction.

So during my first year of mostly soy meat in my diet, I learned different ways of cooking soy meat. Fried, barbecued, stewed, boiled in soup, stir fried with vegetables, stir fried with Chinese noodles, simmered in sauces for spaghetti and lasagna. I knew without soy meat (and frozen goods like soy ham and soysages), I would have ended up eating jus...

In 2016, in between my fifth and sixth month of pregnancy, I volunteered to cook lunch for a workshop with 80 people. I wanted to cook something special that at least most of the participants have never tasted. However, with my bulging baby-filled stomach, no one wanted me standing for long and staying too much in the hot kitchen.

Good morning!

Yes, morning. It's five in the morning right now and I'm wide awake. Well, my 9-month-old woke me up at four today and now she's in the carrier, already dream-feeding.

I've been hoping to get back to blogging officially after I've completely finished reinstalling my site, but with a baby who's awake for longer hours and crawling everywhere and grasping on everything to help her stand (even swiveling chairs!), it was an extra big shot for me. So I decided I should write new blogs...

Noodles. I find it to be a very beautiful word. The "oo" sound and the adorable arrangement of the last four letters; there's no way you cannot think of a wonderland where everything is made up of noodles and different sauces and soups. I can literally sing this word and just this word across all genre and in different context and emotions and yet be proud of myself. Well, unless someone in a different sanity level hears me do it. You're singing with me, aren't you?

I had always loved pasta and n...

I love this dish. However, it's quite difficult to get coconut milk in Japan-- in my five months of stay here, I've seen canned coconut milk just once, in an imported goods store at the big AEON mall. Because coconut milk is imported here, its cost is rather high. Luckily, I brought two packs of powdered coconut milk before coming to Japan last time.

I was not sure if my husband will even taste this dish if I cooked it (because I know he doesn't like vinegar and sour dish...
